Hands-on activities based on Next Generation Science Standards

Chicago, Illinois

Sunday August 26 2018.

AQF, NOAA, and INCE have partnered to create STEM kits (valued at $120) for educators and librarians. Our organizations wanted to make it accessible and easy for educators to talk about sound, how wildlife uses sound and noise effects the ecosystem. Also how sound affects us. The kits enable anyone to teach STEM activities using scientific method  and consist of 26 lessons for kindergarten to middle school. The kits  cover:

Physics of Sound

Terrestrial Sound

Marine Sound

Each lesson contains background, the objective, key definitions, activity, and Next Generation Science Standards fulfilled for each grade level. The kits empower youth to be a part of the solution. Kits are limited for educators. The kit contains all materials needed to do activity.
